Via ERE.net …

A reporter from the Wall Street Journal once asked me what I thought was the greatest secret in recruiting. HIREBRIDGE DEBUTS NEW UNLIMITED ATS PLATFORM

‘Hirebridge Unlimited’ Delivers Applicant Tracking Without Limits

CORAL SPRINGS, FL (February 1, 2010) – Hirebridge LLC, a leader in applicant tracking solutions software, has debuted Hirebridge Unlimited. The novel, flat-rate pricing program is the ATS industry’s first plan that removes limits on the number of users, access or accounts. Hirebridge’s new pricing model allows customers to maximize their use of the industry leading online applicant and talent management software.

“An applicant tracking solution should be designed to fit the customer in both functionality and price,” said Jeff Kasten, Hirebridge Vice President and Director of Business Development. “Our new pricing model does just that. Everyone else charges per user. We don’t. We’ve thrown away the status quo and expect this will improve how our customers use and benefit from Hirebridge.”

The new Hirebridge model does not charge per user, essentially removing limits to the number of customer employees who can use or access the application. This empowers anyone in an organization to benefit from Hirebridge’s industry leading functions, like job posting, resume and candidate search and processing, recruitment and staffing tools, and overall recruitment and talent management. Pricing begins at $250 a month. Other ATS providers often base pricing on the number of users or the size of the customer. This can translate to annual contracts that can run $30,000 a year or more for “enterprise” plans.

“The industry’s standard ‘unlimited’ plans come with a hefty price tag that is both unaffordable to small- to mid-sized users and wrong for their individual needs,” Kasten says. “We’ve thrown away the need to pay for each user. Hirebridge is right-priced for any organization. We’ve redefined ‘unlimited everything.’ It’s applicant tracking without limits.”

Via TheNextWeb.com …

The online job marketplace Monster has just acquired HotJobs away from Yahoo for a stunning $225 million in cash. Part of this deal is a three-year “commercial traffic agreement,” which will begin on the closing of the deal.

Why You Need A SaaS Strategy

Via InformationWeek …

Business technology leaders find themselves in something of a cloud computing deluge, showered by vendor marketing, new services, and even CEO questions about their “cloud strategy.” Much of the exuberance centers on the kind of computing-by-the-hour service that Amazon.com and others sell but most enterprises are only starting to ponder.

Amid the lofty aspirations, few have noticed just how powerful and grounded a force software as a service has become. The impact that SaaS will have on IT organizations is profound, and as business technology leaders, we need to ensure that our companies are ready for it.

You’ve Got Automated Referral Source Tracking!

We’re more than pleased to announce that we have just launched Automated Referral Source Tracking for all Hirebridge accounts. As with everything we do, this new module is distinctly “Hirebridge” in nature, meaning, it’s incredibly easy to use and it works passively with just about no work needing to be done on the part of candidates or users.

Most applicant tracking systems do not have auto referral source tracking because it’s really hard to do and it is cumbersome to implement. Those that do have it typically require users to generate site-specific tracking codes that need to be placed in external postings. We think those are bad ideas and require too much manual labor, so we’ve automated the process and made it ridiculously easy to implement. Simply log in to your Hirebridge account, click on the Administration tab and look for the Automated Candidate Referral Source Tracking Maintenance link.

If you need any help setting this up, send an email to support@hirebridge.com and we’ll get back to you promptly with details.

Attention Career-Seekers: MyPath Taps Social Network to Plot Your Next Move

Via FastCompany.com …

This morning I discovered after taking a 20-minute career assessment test on MyPath.com that, in addition to being a writer (a career I’ve built happily over more than a decade), I also possess the skills to be a teacher or a public speaker. It’s certainly not as far-fetched as the results of a similar five-minute quiz I took on Careerpath.com, which indicated several, let’s say, alternate jobs that also matched my skills and knowledge. They were … wait for it … coroner, economist, and electrical engineer.
